DAFF - Industry Partnership Program

In the 2005 Budget, the Australian Government announced a three-year $15 million Industry Partnerships Programme as an extension of the pilot programme it introduced in 2004-05.
The Industry Partnerships Programme is part of the Agriculture - Advancing Australia (AAA) package, an integrated suite of programmes, which includes FarmBis, Farm Help - Supporting Families Through Change, the Rural Financial Counselling Service, International Agricultural Cooperation and the Farm Management Deposits Scheme. The AAA programmes have helped thousands of people in agriculture, fishing, forestry and processed food industries become more competitive, sustainable and profitable through supporting innovation, training and other projects.
The Industry Partnerships Programme, which complements the AAA initiatives that target producers, will focus on agriculture, fisheries and forestry industries to improve their:
- Ability to continuously yield positive financial returns
- Capacity to operate in future environmental and social setting
- ability to compete in the global marketplace
- Capability to respond to change and be flexible
- Confidence to manage their affairs.
